Interim Site Director: The business PPG Aerospace required leadership support for a stabilisation and cultural change project. PPG is the world's largest producer of paints, coatings and sealants for the Aerospace industry. The plant in the Northeast of England is the only EMEA manufacturing site producing and customising/filling the lquid paint and pasteous sealant materials into smaller containers. FBC Ltd. restored H&S compliance, stabilised the business and sustainably improved the site's performance.
Interim Plant Director: a leadership support and cultural change project with Loparex b.v., the world's leading developer and producer of specialty paper and film release liners. The plant in the Netherlands is one of 2 manufacturing sites in the European Division. We established and executed a huge cultural change and Health & Safety awareness programme to help the business reduce accidents and associated health cost. In order to bolster the supply chain reliability and reduce lead times during the pandemic we facilitated people and process alignment, the organisational development and drove the completion of unfinished activities from an earlier production line expansion project.
Interim Site Director: a 13-months' interim management support and mentoring project with Budich International GmbH, a leading manufacturer and filler of disinfectants and cleaning products. In their Eastern German plant, Budich Production + Contracting GmbH, we implemented a major cultural change and restructuring programme to stabilise the business and improve supply reliability and lead times through people and process alignment.
Interim Senjor LEAN Manager: a 9-months' operational support project with Pfeiffer-Vacuum GmbH, the global manufacturer of vaccum technology and vacuum pumps. After a major process review with value stream mapping exercises a programme was compiled to align people and processes across the business, optimise resources and eliminate non-value adding, unneccessary waste, e.g. applying the methodoloy of "the 7 wastes of LEAN".
Interim Operations Director UK: a 6-months' turnaround project with a global pharma packaging manufacturer with several European paper converting plants for medical cartons and leaflets. FBC Ltd. was called in to stabilise the UK operations with 2 of their 4 UK plants in need of a turnaround in combination with a considerable culture change. The 2 major achievements were implementing the teamwork culture to enable people and processes to be aligned and a major cost savings package. This was implemented to save on raw material consumption and better usage, to reduce waste and increase production throughput at better labour efficiency for 2018 and going forward.
Interim Senior Project Manager: a 22-months' project and change management contract with a global security lock manufacturer. FBC Ltd. rescued a failing multinational project to introduce a new complex security lock range into the EU markets. We guided the business through the completion process of the various unfinished phases from design to serial testing & approval, supply chain set up and implementation and the set-up of the manufacturing facility in Romania.
This successful completion triggered a sub-sequential 14 months' project for the relocation of an entire product range of electro-mechanical locks from Germany to the Czech Republic. We transferred the entire supply chain including 3 assembly lines from their 2 German plants to the CZ plant on time and on budget.
Interim MD & ERP Pilot Project Management: a 7-months' turnaround and OPS improvement project within the organisation of a global liquid packaging manufacturer for bag-in-a-box systems. During this period we also implemented and commissioned the group-wide new ERP supply chain system by QAD.
Project & Change Management: a 9-months' improvement and conversion project to automate a mostly manual production process for medical sterilisation products and double the line output. For the implementation of the 2 new lines an investment of US$ 5m was provided to allow for a complete re-design of the packaging and the acquisition of dedicated state-of-the art packaging equipment for the complex product range. Needless to say that the supply chain had to remain unaffected.
Rescue and Operational Turnaround: a 5-months' transformation project to save a waste handling business from closure and revert the financial loss of 100k per month to a black Zero.
